Dr. Shaista Rashid earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree (B.D.S.) from de’Montmorecy College of Dentistry in Pakistan. She then earned her M.S. degree in Oral Science and a Certificate in Operative Dentistry from the University Iowa College of Dentistry in 2007.,Dr. Rashid has a diverse clinical teaching background. She served as a faculty member at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, and University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry before joining the University of New England College of Dental Medicine as an Assistant Clinical Professor.,Dr. Rashid is a current member of the Academy of Operative Dentistry, the American Association for Women Dentists, the American Association for Dental Research, the American Dental Association, the Maine Dental Association, and the American Dental Education Association.,She also serves as an advisor for the American Association of Women Dentists and the Student National Dental Association. Her research interests include minimally invasive restorative dentistry and Aesthetic dentistry.
