Dr. Shikha Kumari earned her Ph.D. in Socio-psychological Gerontology from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, where her research examined the needs, challenges, and adaptive strategies of elderly individuals living alone in the National Capital Region. Her work centres on aging, social sustainability, and the adaptive capacities of older adults in India, with a focus on the psychological, social, and cultural dimensions of later life. Dr. Kumari strives to generate insights that illuminate the lived realities of the aging population and inform evidence based approaches in geriatric care management, community support systems, and policy planning aimed at enhancing the well-being of senior citizens.
