Camillo Di Giulio graduated in Medicine and Surgery and specialized in gerontology and geriatric medicine and neurology at the University of Chieti and Pavia. He was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Physiology,School ofMedicine, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Since 2006 he has been Professor of Physiology at Chieti University. His research interests are in the field of the respiratory physiology, particularly the various aspects of oxygen sensing in the carotid body and the mechanisms and modulation of chemoreceptors in various age groups newborns, young and old.
