Dr. Olivia Hird is a Canadian native currently residing in Maryland. She is a licensed Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with over 15 years of operational and clinical leadership experience in Applied Behavior Analysis, serving both small and large organizations. In addition, Dr. Hird is an adjunct professor at McDaniel College, where she teaches graduate-level courses in Applied Behavior Analysis, Inclusive Practices, and Behavior Management.
Dr. Hird earned her graduate degree and Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University. Her research interests include the study and application of behavioral interventions in gerontology, early intensive behavioral intervention, and organizational management. She specializes in integrating contemporary applied behavior analysis with positive behavior supports to foster organizational growth and improve the quality of life across the lifespan, with a focus on supporting healthy aging and independence in older adults.
